Mignonne Lemire
Jewelry artisan Mignonne Lemire lives and works in coastal Maine where she finds inspiration in the shapes and colors of the natural world that surrounds her.

A self-taught artist, Mig began her career coloring photographs for her father. She experimented with other mediums and was ultimately drawn to jewelry design and creation because of the creativity and challenge inherent in the craft.

More than a decade later, her work has evolved from simple designs into complex, unique pieces. Mig works primarily with sterling silver wire using techniques that range from coiling and wrapping to chain maille. She then complements her silver pieces with Swarovski crystals, handmade lampwork beads, fused glass, and natural materials.

With jewelry that blends both style and craftsmanship, Mig has delighted customers in the United States and abroad. You can see many of her creations in galleries and jewelry stores, as well as in this online portfolio. Please feel free to share your thoughts, or make special requests on her Comment page.

On June 5th 2010, Mig opened her gallery, Jewelry by Mig Lemire. You may view many of the pieces featured on this site and visit Mig's workshop. It is located at 15 Holly Street in Scarborough Maine. Store hours are Friday and Saturday from 10-4 and by appointment.
