New Year for new happenings!

Jan 03 2010

Its been way too long since I've had time to catch you up on things but,  here I am finally! First of all, I want to thank all of my customers for their purchases from me last year, without you I wouldnt be where I am today. Secondly, I want to tell everyone about my new exciting news. I now have a studio! The studio is divided up in three sections, one for retail sales (by appt), another for my work space and, yet another section for classes. This is exciting for me as I've wanted this for a long time. The studio is a work in progress and still needs a lot of fine tuning but, I am finally on my way to getting it up and runnning.

On another note, be looking for a lot of new pieces coming up soon! I am working on several new and unique pieces just for you. Please keep checking as I will start posting them within the next few weeks. Thank you again for all your support.

Happy New Year to all of you!

Great show last night

Jun 26 2009

Mercy Hospital in Portland had a very nice fashion show and dinner last night, for Cancer survivors,  where I was invited to sell my pieces. What a pleasure it was to be at this soiree. The people were so pleasant and bubbly. I couldnt ask to be with a nicer group. It looked to me to be a great success. Kudos to Mercy Hospital for all their hard work!

Golden Ambiance

May 11 2009

This is so gorgeous - love the golden color of the crystal and the enhancement of the swirls!! I made this piece not quite sure of how to bring out the beauty of the crystal but it just did it all by itself - it seemed like the silver was telling me where to go and what to do with it and, this is what i came out with. I just love to work with these vintage crystals - I hope you like it as much as I do - I was only able to scarf up a few of these so first come first serve - there arent any others out there that I know of. If you like having something unique and that nobody else will have, then this is the piece for you.

Violets in my mind

Apr 03 2009
Well, its been raining for a week now with predictions of another week of the same to come!! As dreary as that sounds, it really isn't! It made me think of spring flowers coming up because of all the rain and, it made me think of beautiful violets and hyacynths and the color purple. I have these beautiful shell pearls that i purchased that are purple and also some pretty freshwater pearls in purple as my mind moves on to these things i thought i have to bring these colors out and bring out the spring in the air.Alas, this new necklace originated. Its a bit different and clean cut. I hope you like it. Feel free to comment on it. Thank you.

Spring is here!!!

Mar 19 2009
At long last! I feel like it's been an extremely long winter but, with the birds chirping outside and my first glimpse of a robin I cant help but think of spring. With spring comes the thoughts of new spring looks. Sometimes we cant afford to go out and buy new outfits just because its a new season but, we can always make our clothes give us a whole new look just by getting new accessories. I think this new piece i think would just make any outfit look great. The swirls of pearls is just so springy looking and will go with any outfit. I loved  making this piece. I started out by drawing a picture of something I wanted it to look like but, it ended up totally different - it just told me where to go as I went along. The tiny peach colored pearls enhanced with the focal coin pearl, make the silver scrolls jump out in a rich look. I hope you all like this piece as much as I do.

Drama

Feb 28 2009
I have had an idea to work a necklace that you could wear the focal any side you want or as a center piece. After thinking about it, I came up with this piece where I put the clasp in back of the focal piece so you can place it any way you want. The necklace is made with beautiful mint green freshwater pearls and for the focal piece, I ornamentally wrapped a piece of sea glass I found right here near my home on the beach. What a treat to work with something as unique as a piece of local seaglass but then again, I wonder where did it come from. Oh if only it could talk!! Enjoy this piece and i'd be happy to hear any comments from you about what you think. I'm off to take my dogs for a walk, who knows what other treasures I might find.

Weaving with wire

Jan 24 2009

This is a great time for me to learn new techniques and play with new styles. Love this pair of earrings made with cold connections (that is when you join metal without soldering). They have given me so many more ideas for so many more pieces. Be looking for new, fresh designs coming weekly using my new ideas.

Sophistication

May 30 2008
This is my newest and most loved piece. I am so pleased at the way this piece came out! Tourmaline is one of my most loved stones and the colors in this piece are so vibrant! I made 3 strands of the tourmaline and then attached them together and captured them in a sterling silver coil for the focal and on the top sides I put tourmaline nuggets which makes this piece very comfortable to wear. It is very flowing and so elegant. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do.

Nature's Dream

May 18 2008
Here is a piece that I truly enjoyed making. Thoughts of summer and thoughts of the beach. I am so anxious for the warm weather that I couldn't help working with these beautiful, natural materials. The piece of seaglass was one I picked while walking on the shores of the beach where I live. What a find, I just couldnt wait to get home and make something out of it. I hope you like this as much as I do - you really need to see it in hand to see how gorgeous a piece it is.

Vintage Swarovski Drop

Mar 30 2008
This piece is so beautiful, a picture doesnt do it justice. I looked at this piece so long before deciding how to present it. The silver has been twisted on the sides and the top to give it the Victorian look. It is old and rare so i didnt want to hide the stone rather, i wanted to enhance it. I cant say enough about this crystal and I do hope you all enjoy it as much as I do. It has a rich feeling to it and its absolutely luxurious.
